Quillnote

We wrote 60 notes over a week and Quillnote suggested the right backlink about four times in five, without us typing a single bracket. Search came back instantly across all of it, and the offline mode held up on a flight with no lost edits.

It isn't as endlessly customizable as the big plugin-driven tools, and that's the point: you can be productive in the first five minutes. Export to Markdown is clean, so you're never locked in.
